A Theremin is an electronic musical instrument that is played with no physical contact. The Longwave Pocket Theremin is a very small portable Theremin made by my nephew Jake Rothman in Wales. A Virtual Organ is a digital representation of a pipe organ that can be played in real time.
This was my main hobby for a long time. In this section there is a history of my pioneering work in the field, a description of my present setup, and links to some of the highly sophisticated digital organ systems available.

Three years ago I became interested in railway simulation on a PC. I found an inexpensive program called “Trainz.” With this program you can create your own routes, either imaginary or prototypical, so I set  about recreating a short but very picturesque branch line in the north of London. I lived very close to this railway when I was young, and I remember it well enough to recreate it mostly from memory, with the help of a few photographs, books, videos etc. It closed in 1954, but it lives on in this recreation.
